MSM Offshore cardinal buoys are installed in the Baltic Sea to mark the perimeter of an offshore wind farm, in full compliance with IALA Guideline G1162, enhancing navigation safety around these renewable energy infrastructures.
The buoys deployed in this project are EBM18HV elastomer models, designed to provide maximum durability and resistance in demanding marine environments. Each buoy is equipped with a self-contained MCL360 lantern, integrated with a Type 1 AIS system for real-time monitoring, ensuring reliable and precise marking even under harsh conditions.
Marking offshore wind farms represents a key challenge for maritime safety in areas of intense activity. With this project, MSM Offshore reinforces its contribution to a sustainable future by providing advanced beaconing solutions that support the safe development of offshore wind energy.
